With over 30 years of dedicated service in the soccer coaching arena, Baltazar Mendez III has established himself as a prominent figure committed to the mentorship and development of young talent. Growing up in Mexico, Baltazar developed a deep passion for soccer from an early age. He further honed his skills while playing at SET Del Mar, where he played collegiate soccer before moving to the United States. His coaching philosophy is centered on cultivating players with strong fundamentals from an early age, which has proven instrumental in fostering successful careers in the sport.

Baltazar’s extensive coaching background encompasses three decades at the club level and ten years mentoring high school teams. His commitment to excellence is exemplified by the values he instills in his players: hard work, respect, and unwavering sportsmanship. These principles serve as the foundation for not only developing skilled athletes but also creating responsible individuals ready to navigate the challenges of life. A vital aspect of Baltazar's contributions lies in his resilience and dedication to establishing robust soccer programs in the Antelope Valley. By providing high-quality training locally, he enables young athletes to pursue their aspirations without the burden of extensive travel for opportunities, ensuring they can thrive in a supportive environment.

Moreover, Baltazar is passionately committed to community service, actively supporting young athletes as they strive to achieve their goals through both education and soccer. His mentorship has been pivotal for numerous talented players, including: Ángeles Escobar, who distinguished herself at the University of Southern California. Alba Janet Mendez, who represented the Mexico National Team as a member of two U-20 World Cups. Kelsie Ruiz, who has made significant contributions to the El Salvador U-20 National Team. Leslie Cabrera, a proud member of the Guatemala U-20 National Team. Additional athletes such as Randall McDermott at University of Irvine, Álvaro Quezada at university of Irvine and (drafted by LAFC), Shayne Steffes at Cal State Northridge, and Paola Figueroa at Oregon State University. Through his unwavering support, Baltazar empowers these young athletes not only to excel in soccer but also to develop the life skills essential for success in their future endeavors. His legacy is one of dedication, passion, and an enduring commitment to shaping the next generation of leaders both on and off the field.
